Audi & Chevrolet at top
At the opening of the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto last month, Audi's high-performance R8 was named as 2008 Canadian Car of the Year by Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). The R8 car topped the other eight best new cars.
The high-performance R8 also won the Best New Design Award over Chevrolet Malibu, Volvo C30 and Infiniti G37 Coupe.
Chevrolet Silverado was selected as the 2008 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year.
Among all other vehicles, pickup was chosen the overall winner from among 26 eligible vehicles in the sport-utility and pickup-truck categories.
Ford’s Sync technology which is available in Ford Focus, Edge and Lincoln MKX has been selected for the Best New Technology Award.
